Hypnotherapy for Depression

According to the Mental Health Foundation's statistics in September 2020, depression is the predominant global mental health problem; in 2019 the World Health Organis

ation stated that 264 million people worldwide are affected by depression. The office for national statistics (ONS, 2020) recently reported that the rate of depression in the UK doubled during the COVID-19 pandemic with those reporting moderate to severe depressive symptoms rising from 9.7% between June 2019 and March 2020 to 19.2% in June 2020.

Hypnotherapy can be used to help alleviate depression subconsciously by addressing root causes along with positive suggestions to help break negative thinking patterns. I usually offer hypnosis with psychotherapy in this instance to help you examine those negative thoughts looking at how we can challenge them with positive counter statements and also see if there is any evidence backing up this thinking. This is then underpinned with hypnosis that helps motivate at a deeper level bringing about a more positive perspective to help you get on with your life with a renewed sense of peace, calm and energy.
